EARLY EDUCATION FUNDING POLICY BOW LANE PRE-SCHOOL

We provide the Early Education entitlement for eligible parents in line with the requirements set out in the Early education and childcare guidance document.

Our offer is:

 Opening Times 7.45am – 4.30pm

 EARLY EDUCATION ENTITLEMENT ELIGIBILITY

Children aged 9-months old (Bow Lane Pre-school can only accept childred from 18-months)

Eligible working parents can access the Working Parent Entitlement of up to 30 hours a week for their 9 month old. However we can only accept children from 18-months.

 Children aged 2-years old

Eligible parents can access up to 15 hours a week for their 2-year old, from the term after the child’s 2nd birthday, if they meet the eligibility criteria.

Eligible working parents can access the Working Parent Entitlement of up to 30 hours a week for their 2-year old. The parent, and any partner, must each expect to earn (on average at least £167 per week (equal to 16 hours at the National Minimum or Living wage) but no more that £100,000 per year

Children aged 3-and-4-year-olds

All families in England with 3- and 4-year-old children can get Universal Funding up to 15 hours a week of funded early education and childcare. Children can take-up universal funding at the start of the funding period following their 3rd birthday.

 

Eligible working parents can access the Working Parent Entitlement of up to an additional 15 hours a week (combined with the Universal entitlement equates to up to 30 hours a week) of funded early education.

ADDITIONAL FUNDING 

Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) – If your child is accessing an early education funding place, your childcare provider could be eligible for extra funding to help support your child to develop and learn. EYPP is paid direct to your provider based on the first 15 hours of funding for all age groups.

EYPP funding will be used to offset your additional services fee at Bow Lane.

 

Disability Access Funding (DAF) – If your child is accessing an early education funding place and is in receipt of Disability Living Allowance (DLA), your childcare provider could be eligible for extra funding to help support your child.

 

DEPOSIT

A deposit of £25 is required to secure your child’s place.

If you are only accessing the free hours, we will return the deposit to you by the end of the first half term following your child’s start date. Should there be a change in circumstances, and you no longer wish to take-up a place this deposit is non-refundable.

 

CHARGES FOR ADDITIONAL SERVICES

Government funding is intended to deliver up to 30 hours a week of free, high quality, flexible childcare. It is not intended to cover the cost of snacks and other consumables, additional hours or additional services. Please see details below.

Additional hours for under 2 year olds              £8.80    (£9.00 from Sept 26)

 

Additional hours for 2 year olds                         £7.80    (£8.00 from Sept 26)

 

Additional hours for 3-4 year olds                      £7.20    (£7.40 from Sept 26)

 

Collection from another provider                       £2 from  Hatfeild Primary

Snacks/consumables/additional services        

£1.75 per session AM (between 7.45-12) and £1.75 per session PM (between 12-4.00).

 

You can opt out of paying by providing your own snack/consumables. You can also opt out of additional services. Please speak with Zoe Pearson (Group manager). A detailed breakdown of these chargeable extras can be seen here.

Registering on the Family App                             One off fee of £25

Sports from external providers                           This is included in the additional services fee.
